Immersive Educational Experience
Engage with history and nostalgia in the classroom as your students explore our exhibits and learn about how toys reflect our common culture and values. Our educational program for elementary school kids, “Mobile Museum”, brings the museum to your classroom or learning environment and provides an opportunity for instructors to teach about human connection. We work with the instructor to create an exhibit of pre-selected toys from our collection and a lesson plan, based on California Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Standards, that teaches about how collecting toys and other items, like art and objects from nature, create bonds in our culture. Our goal in these education programs is to show that SEL skills are critical for preparing kids to be successful adults because these skills help them form healthy relationships, have productive careers and become socially conscious, engaged citizens.
